We use Baiting Methodology versus Trapping for eliminating mice & rats. The advantage is that the pests are not deterred nor threatened. They eat bait without any fear so other mice also join in and hence the entire infestation gets affected.
We employ 2nd generation rodenticides bait formulations containing active ingredient of bromadiolone or brodifacoum – for mice and rat control.
Those mice & rats that have had a meal on this product would die away in 3-5 days. As a result of this poisoning they would become slower in their movement and responses. They are likely to die in their nests and become a source for secondary poisoning for other mice & rats.
However, time & location of death of any mammal cannot be forecast-ed with complete certainty. Hence, the possibility, however remote and dependent on the level of infestation, exist that dead mice be found in the living areas.
Client is required to be vigilant for this possibility, particularly, for sake of pets and young children.
Pest Free Living dot CA approach to mice problem is such that typically client would not encounter dead mice. This advantage can not be availed with snap traps or electronic shock devices.
Mice will drink water if available but can survive on food with a moisture content of 15%. They are omnivorous, feeding from a number of different points.

In most cases baits (in block form) are employed to eliminate the presence of these pests.
Bait is usually placed behind appliances where it is inaccessible to non-target life forms. In other places Pest Free Living dot CA utilizes tamper-resistant and lockable bait stations.
Areas favored by mice are food storage and preparation areas such as kitchens and pantries. Sub-floor areas, enclosed pipes and baths in bathrooms and loft areas are also favored areas. Bait can be placed under or behind kitchen fittings, behind fridges, under kitchen units, behind the bottom drawer of the cooker etc.
Bait Technique:
The typical bait is in the block form. It is deployed in temper resistant and lockable bait stations as depicted in this image. Mice enter from either side, find and consume the bait as a meal and exit through either entrance. At that point they are considered to have consumed a lethal amount of rodenticide and they will expire within 4-5 days.
